Al sinds 1812 is dit château in handen van de familie Despagne. Moleculair bioloog François Despagne is de 7e generatie en hij is een sterk voorvechter van biologisch wijnmaken, daar vertelt hij graag en veel over – zij waren een van de eersten in Bordeaux. De wijn is best stevig en dat komt door het uitbundige - en goed gestructureerde - roodpaarse fruit. Kan vele jaren rijpen in de kelder.

Chris Kissack, Winedoctor september 2021 – "The 2016 vintage is a blend of 75% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 50% new oak, the rest mostly second-fill oak. It has only two years more in bottle then the 2018, which I tasted alongside, but it is already showing more apparent evolution in comparison, with its sandy mineral fruits touched with red pepper, rosemary, angelica and peony scents. The palate is supple and plump, with a richly polished substance laid over a rather firm core of grippy and tightly knit tannins which persist through the finish. It is a good result while it remains quite typical of the Corbin sector and Despagne style." 91
