Grand Cru Classé de Margaux
Geen domein kunnen we zo uittekenen als Giscours: we verblijven vaak op Ferme Suzanne, een bijgebouw van Giscours dat weids uitkijkt over het centrale deel van de wijngaard. Deze Hollandse Margaux was ook een van de eerste Cru Classé's die ik lang geleden leerde kennen. We volgen 'm al vele jaren, en de wijn lijkt nog altijd aan klasse te winnen. Het jaar 2017 staat vaak onterecht in de schaduw van de grote omringende jaren. Dit is goed!

Antonio Galloni Vinous 2020 – "The 2017 Giscours is the result of an especially stringent selection, the most dramatic at the property going back to 1995. Medium in body, with terrific freshness and energy, the 2017 shows very well today. Dark red cherry, red plum, spice, licorice, tobacco and savory herbs all grace the glassy, understated Giscours. I can't wait to see how the 2017 ages given its vibrancy and terrific sense of harmony." 93
Jane Anson Decanter 2019 – "Soft and a touch earth on the attack but pulls itself together to show firmly in-control tannins. There is a natural austerity offset by a clear punch of redcurrant, raspberry and autumnal fruits. Good freshness, softened by smoked cedar on the finish. Reminds me of an early stage 2011, and this wine in 2017 seems set to age just as gracefully in the end." 94
Xavier Auerbach 2020 – "Trade tasting, brief note. Like the Du Tertre juicy and supple and relatively easy, with a touch of liquorice, light structure and weight, light finish." 91

We bewaren onze wijnen onder de best mogelijke omstandigheden in onze opslag met meer dan 100 jaar oude wijnkelder. Van hieruit leveren wij aan restaurants en particulieren.
U kunt zelf een leverdatum kiezen. Orders op maandag t/m donderdag voor 10 uur: levering vanaf volgende dag. Is de levering in Amsterdam? Dan kan het vaak eerder dan wat de shop aangeeft. Neem even contact op.
